Neon Filter LED neon sign product guide

• Light source: Ultra Glow LED technology, which gives a realistic neon glow by day and night. There is no glass and no gas.
• Tubing: opaque white silicone sits over high-quality coloured LEDs so the colour shines through evenly. The tubes look white when the sign is switched off.
• Backboard: clear acrylic holds the lettering in place and blends into the wall behind. It is 6mm thick as standard.
• Included as standard: a 12V plug and wall mounting screws. Extras such as a dimmer are optional.

Choose the width by measuring the space where the sign will hang. Typical sizes:

• 60cm: desks, shelves, sideboards, dessert tables and counters.
• 80-100cm: most rooms, above a single bed, waiting areas and smaller feature walls.
• 120-160cm: feature walls above sofas or beds, behind bars and reception desks, flower walls and wedding top tables.
• 160cm and larger: shop windows, trade show stands and main business branding.

The smallest size possible depends on the number of characters and how detailed the design is. The online editor shows a live price and size for your wording. For orders shipped outside the UK, signs wider than 120cm are split so that each shipment is no wider than 120cm. Contact us before ordering if you need a large sign shipped as one piece. You can preview your own wording in each font in the online neon sign customiser before ordering. Popular choices:

• Modern handwritten scripts for names and children's bedrooms.

Very thin or detailed lettering looks best on larger signs, so check small sizes in the preview. If you want a font that is not in the editor, use the logo quote form or email bespoke@neonfilter.com.

Colours include Cosy Warm White (the most popular choice for homes, cafés and weddings), Snow White (a cleaner, modern white), Hot Mama Red, Love Potion Pink, Pastel Pink, Hopeless Romantic Purple, Glacier Blue, Santorini Blue, Glow Up Green, Hey Pumpkin Orange, Sunset Orange, Paradise Yellow. The LED colour is chosen when you order and cannot be changed afterwards.

• Multi-colour signs: logos, illustrations and artwork can use a different fixed colour for each part of the design.
• Brand colours: Neon Filter can recommend the closest available LED colour to your brand palette.
• Switched off: the silicone tubes look white, whatever the LED colour.

The neon itself is a flexible opaque white silicone tube. Neon Filter uses one standard tube profile for its text signs, so the look of the lettering is consistent across fonts and sizes. • Cut to shape: the clear acrylic follows the outline of the lettering for a light, minimal look.
• Rectangular (full acrylic): a clear acrylic rectangle behind the whole design, which gives extra support and a framed look.
• Bespoke: custom backboard shapes on request.
• Freestanding: some designs can stand on a shelf, counter or table.

• Wall mounted: with or without stand-off mounts for a floating look.
• Fast-mount adhesive pads: stick the sign to the wall with no tools needed.
• Ceiling hanging: use the hanging kit.
• Freestanding: available on some designs.

Signs can be fixed to brick, timber, plasterboard, painted walls, greenery panels, flower walls, balloon arches and event backdrops. Route the cable safely when choosing a position.

Add the Smart Remote Dimmer when you order your sign. It is highly recommended because it lets you change the brightness to suit the mood, for example for weddings, bedrooms and events. Other accessories are in the accessories collection.

• Mains: the 12V plug is included as standard.
• Battery pack: optional, for events, weddings and places without a plug socket.
• Running time: signs are built to stay on for long periods, including more than 12 hours a day in shops, bars and restaurants, and can be left on indefinitely.

All Neon Filter cables are less than 4mm wide, and the clear cable on the sign is discreet against the wall. Exact dimensions for each plug type are on the accessory product pages. If you need a longer reach, contact the team before ordering.

Choose one of the 12 LED colours, or a multi-colour design in which each part has its own fixed colour. The colour is chosen at the time of ordering and cannot be changed later. Brightness can still be changed with the optional Smart Remote Dimmer.

Use outdoor signs in dry conditions, in a sheltered or covered area away from direct rain and moisture. If your sign will be used at an outdoor event or on a terrace, contact Neon Filter before ordering so the right splash-proof option can be added.

This makes LED neon safer, lighter, more energy efficient and longer lasting than traditional glass neon, and suitable for homes, children's bedrooms, cafés, salons and shops. Install and use the sign following the supplied instructions.

The LEDs are built to run for long periods without wearing out or becoming warm, so signs can be left on indefinitely.

• Standard: 5 working days production, then next working day delivery.

All signs are made and sent from South Warnborough, Hampshire, UK. A tracking number for FedEx or Evri is emailed once the order is dispatched.

• Warranty: 12 months from the date of purchase. Neon Filter repairs or replaces a covered sign free of charge.
• Not covered: problems caused by conditions, malfunctions or damage that do not come from a defect in materials or workmanship.
• Returns: every sign is made to order, so returns are not accepted for custom items.
• Cancellations: work starts as soon as an order is placed. Contact customer services as soon as possible, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

1. Unpack the sign and check the acrylic backboard and cable.
2. Choose a position within 4m of a socket and mark the fixing points using the pre-drilled holes.
3. Fix the sign with the supplied wall screws, with stand-off mounts, with fast-mount adhesive pads, or with the ceiling hanging kit.
4. Plug in the 12V adaptor. Add the Smart Remote Dimmer if you ordered one.

Neon Filter can produce signs of virtually any size by splitting larger designs into multiple sections. Signs can be split on request or where required for structural integrity. If your sign needs to be produced in multiple sections, we’ll contact you before production for your approval. Lay the pieces out in order before fixing anything, mount each piece in position, then connect the power. If anything is unclear, contact the team on the contact page before you start.

Avoid abrasive cleaners and excessive moisture.
