What makes a sign cost more
Price follows how much neon line goes into your design, not just its width. These have the biggest effect:
- Size. A wider sign uses more neon and a bigger acrylic backboard.
- Number of characters and lines. Two lines of text cost more than one at the same width.
- Font. Flowing scripts with loops use more neon than clean block letters.
- Icons and outlines. A heart, star or border adds neon quickly.
- Speed. Rush and Super Rush production add a fixed fee.
How to pick your size in three steps
- Measure the space. Note the wall width and leave clear space on each side so the glow has room.
- Think about viewing distance. A rough rule is 2.5 cm of letter height for every 3 metres people will read it from.
- Mock it up. Tape a paper outline to the wall at full size. If you're unsure between two sizes, the larger one usually looks better.
